How long has the country Georgia existed as a known civilisation?

Hi Does anyone know how long ago people first were noted to live in Georgia? How old really is Georgia? Greatly appreciate your answers.

1. There are very few places in the world which have not been continuously inhabited for three thousand years or more. Given Georgia's location, people were living there way back into pre-history (though this is not to say they called the place Georgia).
